Are you ready for a September Celebration, in honor of Beach Haven’s 125th Anniversary? Beach Haven Future and the Borough of Beach Haven are teaming up to host a Boat Parade & Seafood Festival on Saturday, September 19th. Festivities begin at 4pm when the famous Jimmy Buffet tribute band, Jimmy & The Parrots, take the stage for a FREE concert. Bring your beach/lawn chairs and prepare to stay for a while. There will be fresh, local seafood served by Murphy’s Marketplace, Polly’s Dock and Country Kettle Chowda. No worries if you don’t care for seafood, the Chicken or the Egg will be serving chicken fingers, wings and cheesesteak sliders. Admission to the festival is FREE. Beer, wine, food and non-alcoholic beverages will be cash only. There will be an ATM machine on – site.
Around 7pm everyone will gather along the bayfront for a clear view of Beach Haven’s first boat parade, which begins at Mordecai Island and heads north through the channel, past the judges stand at Bay Village’s waterfront and continues on to the end of the route at 12th Street.
We are so excited for this event. Bayfront businesses, condos, and houses are asked to pull out all the stops by decorating the west side of their property in RED, WHITE and BLUE for our Americana themed event. Don’t forget to dress in patriotic colors if you’re coming to the festival.
Just a few rules for everyone’s comfort & safety: No dogs or pets allowed (except service dogs). Smoking will be permitted outside the fenced area only. No outside alcohol is permitted into festival grounds. Must be 21+ to drink, please have ID ready. For more information contact the Borough of Beach Haven at #609-492-0111 X215.
